Jennifer was brought up in Bradford, West Yorkshire and has acted since the age of 12. She attended the Scala Kids Drama School in her hometown before taking up a degree in Health and Fitness. Jennifer joined the Hollyoaks cast in 2006 as the confrontational, witty and feisty Mercedes McQueen. Prior to Hollyoaks she appeared in several TV shows including kids' TV series My Parents Are Aliens and ITV dramas Where The Heart Is and At Home with the Braithwaites, as well as Yorkshire soap Emmerdale.

Jennifer appeared in ITV's 6th series of Dancing on Ice in 2011 but despite consistently scoring in the top five was unfortunate to be the 7th celebrity to be voted out of the show. ITV's loss was Bennetts gain as she quickly agreed to launch the 2011 Bennetts Babes search stating at the photo shoot that "I can't believe I'm now swapping my lycra for leathers!"
